With Coachella well and truly over, we have eased the blow by style stalking every celebrity in attendance and picking out our favourite looks and beauty crushes over the two weekends. It wasn't hard to pin point our favourite and with summer fast approaching it seemed only right that we share with you our favourite looks and the best products on our virtual beauty shelves right now to give you that fresh faced, sun kissed natural makeup look.

When out in the desert or on some far away sun drenched island, there's nothing worse than lugging around a makeup bag that weighs more than you. For hot summer days, keep your beauty routine to a minimal selection of key products. It's all about making your products work harder for you, choose blushers which can be used as lip stains and bronzers that double up as contouring miracle workers. You want to maintain a care free, effortless beauty look that can take minutes to apply, leaving more time for the important things like cocktails and avid book reading.

One of our favourite summer essentials is the Elizabeth Arden Cheek Highlighter Stickthis soft, dewy radiance stick is there to add a lustrous shine to your cheekbones, highlighting your features and giving you that 'just appeared from the sea' shine. This creamy blush stick can be blended with fingertips, apply as little or as much as you want. Our favourite shade is First Mate as it's very close to your natural cheek blush.

With help from the Kardashians, contouring has become 2014's biggest beauty trick. The power of contouring is that it can give your face an instant uplift, literally. The beauty of this Daniel Sandler Sculpt and Slim Effect contouring palette is that it can be used to both define and bronze your entire face. The lighter tone can sculpt and highlight as well as set any particularly oily areas in that hot summer heat.

Before a long day out in the heat, always prepare your face prior to applying any foundation or makeup product. A primer is essential in setting your makeup and ensuring it lasts as long as possible, without sliding off during the day. Murad's Skin Perfecting Primer in Matte is our favourite as its 2-in-1 pore refining, oil balancing properties help to keep your face shine free the entire day. This primer is perfect at hiding flaws and feels effortlessly weightless on the skin. More importantly, on long hot days, a matte, powder finish primer such as this is the only option, meaning fewer 'powder my nose' moments needed in the bathroom.

Applying an extensive selection of lip products whilst stood in a festival beer garden isn't ideal, which is why we love this DuWop Lip Venom. This lip plumping, ultra glossy cult beauty classic is great at giving you a fuller lip in an instant. No need for lip liners, lipsticks and everything in between, this gloss is the perfect handbag sized essential that leaves a tasty tingle without the need for surgery!

A plumper lip is always a plus but when it comes to your skin, no one needs puff and in the heat your skin tends to retain water, leaving your skin puffy and not so sexy. When you need a quick refresh, this Per-fekt Eye Perfection Gel helps to cool your under eyes whilst de-puffing and illuminating. Unlike other cooling eye products this one from Per-fekt comes in a whole host of various shades to conceal and reduce the appearance of dark circles. We are definitely making this an essential in our beach bag this summer.

Wherever you are heading this summer make sure you pack these gorgeous, beach must haves to make your makeup routine as simple as can be, without compromising on your beauty.

Major fan of scented candles, Make Up brushes and Highlighter. I’m always on the hunt for those Holy Grail products and my dressing table is covered in more beauty products than I like to admit. As an adopted Northerner originally from Brighton, I spend most my days wondering what all this rain is about. My hair isn’t grateful for the move. Currently loving: NIOD Photography Fluid
