This was my first Darphin product and at first I was a bit dubious over the colour of the foundation as there were only 3 shades but I didn't need to be. I was swaying between the Ivory and the beige but decided on the beige. My skin colour is light to medium and it is perfect, very forgiving and covers fantastically. I am 43 and a few years ago went abroad and came back with what I can only describe as pigmentation sunglasses. I tried every product on the market spending a fortune but nothing worked. Then a beautician told me that nothing would or could scrub brown marks from my skin. Eventually they faded, but seemed to spread into larger than normal freckles. I just decided to cover them but at my age, thick heavy foundations looked ridiculous. This product seems to cover, but it is not at all heavy. I think the trick is not to rub it in, but smooth it with a brush and blend lightly with finger tips. I leave it for a couple of minutes to settle, then dust it lightly with a clear powder. I re-applied it the other day and my husband said my skin looked really fresh, there is no harsh look to the skin and it isn't at all heavy or powdery. I have also tried most, brands of foundations too but this one beats them all for me and I don't usually leave reviews. Try it, it's lovely and don't over rub.
