Beauty Expert at London Fashion Week

On Friday, the Beauty Expert team headed down to London to capture the best hair and beauty trends showcased at London Fashion Week. With backstage access courtesy of award-winning professional hair care brand and official LFW hair sponsor label.m, we discovered the secrets of the hair and makeup artists that bring these groundbreaking looks to life. Read on to discover what we got up to at the shows and behind the scenes.

9.30am

After the train journey down from Manchester, we took the tube from London Euston to Green Park and arrived at Freemasons Hall for the Slovak Fashion Council show. With an elegant backdrop, the runway was set for the models to showcase these fantastic looks.

The hair looks were created by the Toni & Guy team using label.m haircare and styling products. The main focus was curls and ringlets, and the standout products were the Volume Mousse, the Hairspray and the Shine Mist.

2.00pm

After lunch, we took a trip to the British Fashion Council (BFC) Show Space at Somerset House. The BFC Space was the hub of some exciting fashion exhibitions showcasing new generation talent, and also home to a label.m pop-up space to display the iconic products used backstage at this seasons shows.

Speaking to Carolyn from the Toni&Guy PR team, we learned that label.m endeavour to support up-and-coming designers as collaboration and partnerships are crucial elements of the label.m strategy.

3.00pm

After enjoying the beautiful fashion designs at the BFC Show Space, we went backstage during the preparations for the Marta Jakubowski show, with makeup looks created by the Illamasqua team. Discover how to recreate the look in our dedicated guide.

After an incredible day at LFW, we’re excited to recreate these looks in a wearable way.
