Fashion Week Hair Looks with label.m

label.m at London Fashion Week: The AW19 Round-up

We’ve covered the main makeup trends seen at London Fashion Week, and it’s time to discuss all things hair. When it comes to previewing the hair trends for Autumn Winter 2019, we always look to label.m to see their take at the shows. As London Fashion Week 2019 was sponsored by label.m, we spoke to the team to learn all about the inspirations behind these looks and the products used to bring the vision to life.

I am Chen: Sculpted Waves

Contrasting minimalism with attention to detail, the hair look at the I am Chen show focused on creating sculpted waves. Paired with a modern red lip, this look is highly wearable and universally flattering.

To recreate the look, apply the label.m Extra Strong Mousse to wet hair and blow dry. Following this, spray a light layer of Hairspray and take large sections with a small tong. Hold the curls with sectioning clips. Gently brush back the hair section by section – pushing in one direction, and then use the tong to indent the waves. Apply some Shine Mist to the lengths and ends. Finish with Hold & Gloss Spray and Hairspray.

Paul Costelloe: Battlefield to Ballroom

The theme of the Paul Costelloe AW19 show was ‘Battlefield to Ballroom’ and the hair look matched this perfectly. The top knots were both natural-looking and stylish.

To create the look for yourself, start with the Volume Mousse, Extra Strong Mousse or the Volume Foam and blow-dry upwards. Comb the hair to the top of the head and create a smooth ponytail. Apply Hairspray and use a fine-toothed comb to create shape. Tie with an elastic band and loosen strands to create texture. Set with Texturising Volume Spray and wrap the ponytail around the top of the head. The final step is Shine Mist.

Tata Naka: Textured Buns

Inspired by 1980s Supermodels, the Tata Naka Show look was created by label.m International Artistic Director and Britsh Hairdresser of the Year nominee Cos Sakkas. These ‘messy but eloquent buns’ are a trend we can’t wait to recreate.

To create the look, gather hair into a high ponytail and use the label.m Texturizing Volume Spray. Secure with an elastic band and drop down towards the crown to create texture, then pin in place. Create a messy bun and pull out strands to add volume.
