Due to seasonal changes, there’s always a renewed focus on wellness during November and December months. We spoke exclusively to Nicola Elliott, founder of one of our favourite brands Neom Organics, to ask about the Neom brand origins and to learn about her top wellness tips.
An Interview with Neom Organics Founder with Nicola Elliott
- Question: Nicola, for those who are unfamiliar with Neom Organics, tell us more about the brand origins and your journey to founding such an incredible wellbeing brand.
Whilst I was working full time as a journalist in London, I really noticed that my own wellbeing, and that of my close friends, was being affected by the stress and demands of a modern day busy life.
Poor sleep, stress, low energy and mood swings. This kick-started my own wellbeing journey.
I had started training in aromatherapy and had been experimenting with tinctures for my friends, but also I’d had a lightbulb moment when I was looking for some organic pampering gifts for my very green‐minded but glamorous sister. What was available to buy in the shops was pretty uninspiring. I had to either choose something glam that was full of synthetic chemicals or head to a health food shop, buy something with great organic credentials but stuffed in a brown paper bag.
Right from the start I knew that our products had to be 100% natural but with a luxury feel; no‐one else was doing that back then!

- Question: What makes the ultimate Neom‐approved Bedtime Routine?
In an ideal world, it would be nice to do an hour of mediation before hitting the sack but let’s be honest, most of us haven’t got time for that! For me, it’s a few drops of the Perfect Night’s Sleep Bath and Shower Drops into running water and I’m already on the path to sleep – the super‐powerful oils hit you in an instant. I keep the Perfect Night Sleep Face Oil on my bedside table, I warm the oil in my hands, cup over the nose and mouth breathing in for 7 seconds, out for 11 and then massage into my face. - Question: The clocks have recently gone back an hour in the UK ‐ what could this mean for sleep patterns and what advice would you give to those with sleeping difficulties?
Even if it’s just one hour, the change can play havoc with our internal clock and it can take a couple of days to readjust. The most important thing is to adapt to the new time as quickly as possible, don’t be thinking “I need to go to bed an hour later”. It can affect people in different ways, if you have a very strict routine you’re likely to feel the impact more.
My advice for those with difficulty sleeping – it’s about finding the little things that work for you.
I just focus on the things I can change, the small steps, like reading in bed every night, even if it’s just a chapter. This works for me because it makes me physically put down my phone and provides the perfect escapism to switch off from the day.
