Not a day goes by without some new beauty product landing on my desk. To be honest there are so many launches with every new line clamouring for space on an ever crowded beauty page it has to be something really special to get my attention.

Occasionally however something really amazing comes along and that’s what makes my job so exciting. Finding that one special product is still a great feeling and you always know it when you see it.

When Suzi our buyer first showed me Nude skincare I was so impressed I wrestled her to the floor for the face serum sample. The products smelt so yummy and had this incredibly tactile, smooth packaging. My immediate reaction was how lovely it would look in my new en suite but then when I actually tried the products I was blown a way.

Now I’m not always a fan of natural products if they smell too much like essential oils. They give me a headache and remind me of the hippies at college. Those girls were doused in throat-catching Patchouli oil while I was floating around in romantic clouds of Charlie Girl! Yes it was a very long time ago and no I don’t still wear it!. Anyway natural doesn’t have to be all ethnic crafts and Hessian sacks.

Nude proves that Natural and organic can be sophisticated, beautiful and actually work miracles on even middle aged skin. I am a convert although don’t expect the leather sandals and love beads just yet.

Major fan of scented candles, Make Up brushes and Highlighter. I’m always on the hunt for those Holy Grail products and my dressing table is covered in more beauty products than I like to admit. As an adopted Northerner originally from Brighton, I spend most my days wondering what all this rain is about. My hair isn’t grateful for the move. Currently loving: NIOD Photography Fluid
