It's all in the Rouge : Deep red lips make a comeback.

With the cold weather setting in and our thoughts drifting to open fires and nights snuggled on the sofa, the make up we wear also changes depending on the season.

This year there is a distinct trend of plum, berry and deep red lipsticks appearing on the catwalks, among celebrities and also in advertising campaigns of Burberry and Donna Karen.

Here are some of my favourite looks:

Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevingne for Burberry.

Miranda Kerr, Michelle Trachtenberg and Lana Del Ray sporting crushed berry lips.

I think the reason the deep rouge works so well is that it highlights bright eyes and sets off perfectly on olive and fair skin alike. A great look for chilly days when you cant necessarily be bothered with a whole face of make-up; simply add just one coat of your chosen lipstick and some mascara and you are fabulous and ready for the day.
