New Year, New Beauty Resolutions

New Year, New Beauty Resolutions

2016 is upon us, and that only means one thing, it’s time for those inevitable New Year’s resolutions! Here at Beauty Expert, we want to celebrate the “New Year, New You” by giving you beauty resolutions you’re actually going to follow through with for the year ahead.  Let’s take a look…

1. Feed your inner beauty

Although the New Year can often mean eliminating things from your diet, why not add some more of the good stuff by adding supplements into your diet? They’re a great and a relatively easy way to help your look and feel your best. Say hello to glowing skin with the Imedeen Derma One Tablets. Designed to make your skin feel younger and more revitalised, these supplements help support the skin with the necessary nutrients. Say hello to a healthier and younger looking you!

2. Schedule a few minutes of “me time”

Aside from exercise, nutritious food and plenty of sleep being the obvious building blocks for good health, more “me time” is another incredibly important factor! The stress of everyday life can often leave us feeling a little worse for wear, so why not set aside some time each week so you can switch off and forget about the daily grind? There’s no better way than to do that than with the help of our wonderful friends over at Neom Organics! There’s a scent to help sleep, de-stress, energise, to be happy and to help calm & relax, so you’re sure to find one that’s perfect for you! Head over here to discover the perfect night’s sleep with Neom.

3. Start using a retinol

Retinol, it’s of those of hero ingredients that we hear about time and time again but what does it exactly do? Essentially, Retinol is another name for Vitamin A. Offering a range of benefits for the skin such as helping with dark spots & discolouration as well as brightening and evening out your skin tone, you’ll wonder how you ever coped with it! Retinol is often prescribed for serious conditions like acne but it’s also used as a potent treatment for skin ageing so it’s a great ingredient to start using in your 20’s! Our favourite comes from Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment as it helps to firm the skin whilst targeting the signs of ageing.

4. Wear SPF every single day

With sunscreen being your number one defence against premature ageing, we can’t stress enough the importance of wearing an SPF.Wearing an SPF not only protects your skin from burning, but it also protects against sun damage such as wrinkling and premature ageing too! Give your skin the care it deserves with Decleor Protective Anti Wrinkle Cream SPF 30 Face. As well as protecting your skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays, the moisturising cream has been infused with Vitamin C – essential for preventing signs of fine lines & wrinkles!

5. Commit to a skincare routine

And not forgetting the all-important resolution that is committing to a skincare routine! Following a “less is more” approach, the Lancer Method is our go to routine this 2016. Reversing the usual order of skincare, Dr Lancer recommends beginning your routine with the Polisher, followed by the Cleanser and completing with the Nourish. With noticeable results in as little a few days, your skin will be left feeling gorgeously soft and super radiant. If you want to find out more then head to our editorial over here!
