My weakness for scented candles has led me to try all sorts of flavours and fabulous mixes – some with more success than others. A notable disaster was ‘Pumpkin’ that had me flinging windows open on a -10 winter evening, preferring to fall into a hypothermic coma than have that smell in my house a moment longer! However, now we’ve scooped the stunning Apothia range, I’m set for a winter of gorgeous home fragrancing. Particular loves are Casa, full of clean lily notes and Juiced…redcurrants collide with green geraniums – perfection. The detail on the candles are fabulous: a little ball on the wick lets you know when it’s time to get trimming, and the soy blend wax burns for 60 hours.
