There is nothing as pretty as a sparkling floral scent, especially in summer time. I adore this offering from L’Occitane: Pivoine Flora Eau de Parfum. The Peony is known as ‘the flower with a thousand petals’ and for this particular fragrance the flowers were grown specially at the Riviere Nursery near Lyon, France. The nursery grows peonies exclusively and has won many accolades for their blooms.

Pivoine starts with bergamot blended with grapefruit for a fruity citrus top note. The heart is peony, magnolia and violet petals, followed by vanilla, cedar and musk to give woody but embracing bottom notes. The fragrance is perfect for a wedding as it is so feminine and in fact, ageless; as beautiful on someone in their twenties as in their sixties.
