In the same way that we pop a slice of lemon or lime into a cooling glass of water, or opt for zesty sorbets for a summer dessert, citrus is inextricably linked with freshness. One of my favourite summer scents is Miller Harris Citron Citron, that absolutely bursts with citrussy notes in a very sophisticated way. In fact, not only does it contain bright and sparkling notes of the afore mentioned lemon and lime, but also has notes of Spanish orange and cool mint. A backdrop of greener notes, including basil and green moss, give it smoothness and cedar and cardamom add a little bit of spice. It’s perfect for summer evenings, and works well for a light-hearted day scent, too.
